Drive-In and Drive-Through Racking
Drive-in and drive-through racks are a simple option for warehouses, allowing trucks to access the racks and rapidly load or destack pallets. These racks are intended to hold pallets in their channels for lengthy periods of time. A guide rail is set on the floor to ensure the safe navigation of vehicles within the rack system. This rail acts as a guide, improving the process's overall safety and precision.
These racks are available in two configurations: drive-in (pallets are loaded and unloaded from the same working aisle) and drive-through (pallets are loaded from the front and discharged from the back).
Advantages
- Clearance for lift trucks that allow you to drive into the racking system
- Multiple configurations options, including LIFO/FIFO
- Reduction in warehouse space required, lower costs, and holds more loads due to increased storage density
- High volume, low SKU for storing large amounts of similar products
- Better control over entry and exit
- Increased density as opposed to the selectivity of a selective pallet rack system
- A wide variety of heights and depths to meet any storage requirement
- Best suited for batch storage
- Storage density of up to 85%
- Highly cost-effective
- Multi-deep storage
- Minimised aisle space
- Side rails
